Australian Government is a response to teachers request. It is designed to provide assistance for students with very limited English and is meant to be used in conjunction with the separate Australian Government workbook and Sound CD.
It follows the same pattern as earlier publications in this series with three levels of both reading texts and exercises.
When used together with the earlier reading packages, this material covers a large proportion of the information to be found in the Government's publication Becoming an Australian Citizen: Citizenship your Commitment to Australia.
