Because of its many interesting aspects, batik is an endless and fascinating subject. Beside numerous established batik producing regions (each with its own characteristics), new batik regions have emerged and developed. Thus this book is entitled, Batik and its Kind, a sequel to the author’s first book, Ungkapan Sehelai Batik/Batik, Its Mystery and Meaning.
