Dictation provides excellent practice in Listening, Spelling and Punctuation. Each of the thirty two passages in this book is read at Normal Speed and then at Slower Speed. At the Normal Speed, the texts may be used for Listening and Note-taking or Gist Listening, followed by Summarizing. At the Slower Speed, students may practise Pronunciation (Stress, Rhythm and Intonation) and Reading.
