It has been specifically designed to appeal to adults, post-intermediate level students of English as a foreign language. Its eighteen units contain a variety of topics of current interest, ranging from hijacking to marriage and divorce, advertising to the arms race. Each unit comprises five parts: reading, comprehension, listening comprehension, guided writing, role-playing, discussion and extensive language practice.
