A typical lesson has three distinct phases:
- Begin with the oral exercises (listening groups, conversations or readings); 
- Having explained the new work, follow with a quieter time writing or illustrating;
- Complete the lesson with a lively game or play to consolidate word knowledge and to end on a note bof fun;
- conclude each unit with a quiz. The quiz is in fact a mini test. Select and ask 20 questions from the work contained in the proceeding unit. Students will write the answers in the space provided. The correct scores out of 20 will serve as a progress record.
