A series of graded comprehension books for foreign learners of English. The grading follows the structure lists and wordlists produced in association with the Collins English Library. The books can be used in association with these readers or with any standard course. The book has 26 reading passages and facing pages of comprehension exercises. The exercises provide a variety of factual completion, multiple choice and composition type questions. In the early stages, passages are specially written, and questions concentrate on extracting the main elements of the texts. In the later books, texts are taken from various sources, and questions concentrate more on inference and interpretation.
