This handbook was prepared so that the tutor can relate all new vocabulary and sentence patterns to the student’s immediate environment and to his like and dislikes. It includes new words and sentence patterns to help him remember the new material, review the lesson at home, to acquire a foundation for reading and spelling and to feel secure during the lesson. The students will be able to think in English from the beginning of the first lesson, with no need for translation or frequent reference to bilingual dictionaries.
