This is beginning/ literacy level course has three principal objectives: to develop confidence in everyday situations, to enable students to use English effectively and to help students cope with unexpected responses. To achieve these objectives, the autors have adopted a functional approach. Selected functions are presented in such situations as shopping, school, job-hunting, hospital and doctor`s. Language is constantly practised and revised.
